Sunset Orange Brompton

Inspired by the atmosphere of the West Coast, I was tasked to write product positioning and campaign creative for Brompton’s summer season color bike, Sunset Orange. I also had the opportunity to art direct the bike’s lifestyle photoshoot with photographer Paul Mauer.

For Sunset Orange, I immediately knew I wanted the campaign to recall fond memories of past summers for new and existing Brompton riders. This thinking led way to a larger conceptual idea around sunsets symbolizing the universal passage of time bonding different cultures.

Embrace your life’s moments of sunset

A central theme for the Sunset Orange campaign was letting good memories pass by and creating new ones while riding. As this bike was slated for a summer release, I expanded upon this by adding notes of travel and international sightseeing that many Brompton riders enjoy.

Cities around the world take in the beauty and calm of a sunset every evening. A universal passage of time where no two are exactly the same. Get outside and admire the sunsets in your city and beyond on the Sunset Orange Brompton.

From there, our campaign across all marketing channels spoke to the freedom and adventure of riding a bike in the summer. In part of my leadership on this project, I even worked with Spanish design studio Ulises Studio on the creation three CGI assets.

The Summer Edit by Brompton

With the launch of Sunset Orange, my team and I understood that such a bold color wouldn’t resonate with all customers. I pitched the idea of a merchandising page to coincide with the launch, featuring all Brompton bike colors that complement the sunny season.

Make every ride feel like a day off on a Brompton from the Summer Edit. Summer is better on a bike. Cruising into that sunshine state of mind is easier with a bike that folds and unfolds in under 20-seconds.

Find your summer ride with the Summer Edit. Curated colors and models for a range of journeys under the sun — from boardwalks to street fairs and the route in between.
